Vasaloppet in English - Press and media

Vasaloppet's events annually attract nearly 100,000 registered skiers, cyclists and runners. A rich history combined with a unique mix of participants stirs great media interest in our events throughout the year, both inside Sweden and internationally.

The Vasaloppet year 2024

Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2024 started with Vasaloppet 30 on Friday, February 23, and finished with the 100th Vasaloppet on Sunday, March 3.

Now we focus on Vasaloppet’s Summer Week, which starts with bike races, August 9 and 10, and finishes with a whole day of running in the Vasaloppet Arena Saturday, August 17.

Accreditation for media

Media planning to cover our races are very welcome! Accreditation is mandatory for all media covering the event. Application for Vasaloppet’s Summer Week opens in the beginning og August.

On the page Results service for media it is possible to make extracts from the results and start lists. Press releases and photos from Vasaloppet are published regularly in our open pressroom. There you will find an archive of photographs (”Mediearkiv”) that can be used freely for editorial use. Always specify ”Photo: Vasaloppet”. For commercial use we refer to the photographer in question.
