If you buy a start position second-hand, the exchange must be registered. The cost for the exchange is 320 SEK.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">When the seller and buyer have agreed on a price for the start position, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The seller logs in to\u00a0<em>My pages<\/em>, goes to\u00a0<em>My races<\/em>, and selects\u00a0<em>Transfer start position<\/em>. There, the seller enters the buyer\u2019s email address. Both seller and buyer receive an email confirming the exchange has been initiated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The buyer pays the seller for the start position. (The transaction is private and not managed by Vasaloppet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The seller marks\u00a0<em>Payment received<\/em>\u00a0on\u00a0<em>My pages<\/em>\u00a0as soon as the buyer\u2019s payment has been received.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The buyer completes the exchange via\u00a0<em>My pages<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 instructions will be sent by email as soon as the seller confirms payment has been received.If the buyer does not already have a\u00a0<em>My pages<\/em>\u00a0account, they must create one before completing the registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you buy a start position \u2013 in which group do you start?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Vasaloppet:<\/strong>\u00a0The buyer does not take over the seller\u2019s start group. Personal merits determine the buyer\u2019s start group.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Tjejvasan:<\/strong>\u00a0The buyer decides whether they are participating in Tjejvasan elite, the competition class or leisure class. Personal merits determine the start position within the elite and competition class. Personal choice determines the start position in the leisure class.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u00d6ppet Sp\u00e5r Sunday and \u00d6ppet Sp\u00e5r Monday 90:<\/strong>\u00a0The buyer specifies their estimated finishing time and is placed in a start group accordingly. In the event of a fully booked race, the new participant takes over the previously registered participant&#8217;s start time.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Other ski races:<\/strong>\u00a0The buyer can choose to take over the seller\u2019s start group, or make their own choice of start time.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">If you are going to participate in competition class, or a start group based on seeding, you cannot buy a better start position.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips for buyers<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"\">Vasaloppet does not get involved in the deal between buyer and seller. The parties must settle on a price themselves. Unfortunately, there are dishonest people. Don\u2019t pay the seller until you have completed the entire exchange and registration via\u00a0<em>My pages<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">If you suspect a scam you should always notify the police. Read the items below and you will be better prepared.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained has-vl-color-yellow-background-color\"><h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to consider<\/h5>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our recommendation is that you only buy from an acquaintance or from someone in your circle of friends. Check with your local ski club.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not pay an excessive price for a start position. The number of people selling start positions often increases as the race grows closer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call our race offices at +46 (0)250-392 00 when you have found a start position you want to buy.
