Cykelvasasprinten is a showcase on Valleberget at Experiumtorget in Lindvallen; a fast-paced and exciting sprint competition! Running events for children will also be held.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Hemmavasan Cykel 2025<\/strong><br>Hemmavasan is a complement to Vasaloppet\u2019s Summer Week 2025. The largest countries (besides Sweden) are Norway, Finland, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, France, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">Participants in Cykelvasan 2025 range in age from 7 to 86 years! The average age is 44.0. Combined, they have signed up to cycle 1,098,958 km, equivalent of 27 laps around the Earth.<br><em>(County, nation, and age statistics as of Monday, August 4, 2025.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">35 participants who have taken part in all 16 years of Cykelvasan 90 (including Hemmavasan) have also registered this year.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>CYKELVASAN 90 \u2013 SATURDAY, AUGUST 9, 2025<\/strong><br>Cykelvasan 90 starts at the Vasaloppet start in S\u00e4len and passes all the classic Vasaloppet checkpoints. The total 95 kilometres run on forest roads and wooden walkways across marshes, through bright pine forests, past rustic summer farms and meadows down towards the finish line portal in Mora. (90 kilometres of forest road\/gravel and 5 kilometres of asphalt.)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Some updates to the 2025 race<\/strong><br>&#8211; The start has been moved earlier this year, putting the women\u2019s elite start at 08:00 (same time as the winter Vasaloppet). The men\u2019s elite start is at 09:00, and recreational cyclists start in groups every five minutes, starting at 09:15.<br>&#8211; The first slope now has a more even surface, making it possible to have two or three equally good tracks side by side all the way to the top, with the aim of creating a fairer start.<br>&#8211; Cykelvasan 90 is one kilometre shorter this year, 95 km instead of 96 km, since the course now goes straight at the Risberg checkpoint.<br>&#8211; At Mora Ski Stadium, construction is underway on a new roller ski track, meaning that all cycling courses now follow Hedv\u00e4gen toward the stadium. Instead of steep climbs and descents, participants will cycle on an easy gravel road that ends in a downhill stretch by the 3-kilometre-to-go sign.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Start list, start numbers and number bibs 2025<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/results.vasaloppet.se\/2025\/?lang=EN_CAP\">Start list &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">There are around 65 competitors registered in the women&#8217;s competition class, and about 325 in the men&#8217;s competition class.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">The top 30 women from 2024 and the top 30 men from 2024 have start numbers in 2025 corresponding to their 2024 placements.<br>Start numbers for elite women (green bibs): F1\u2013F100<br>Start numbers for elite men (white bibs): M1\u2013M200<br>Start numbers for additional men in the competition class (blue bibs): 301\u20131250<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">In the leisure class, everyone wears a blue number bib.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">At the start in S\u00e4len, a so-called master start will be applied. This means that an ATV will guide participants at a limited speed from the start area to the road crossing before the first hill. During this stretch, all cyclists must maintain their position in the line and not pass the ATV. Separate start groups for women are available in Cykelvasan 90&#8217;s leisure class, for those who prefer it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Results and app<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/results.vasaloppet.se\/2025\/?lang=EN_CAP\">Results &gt;<\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vasaloppet.se\/en\/summer\/follow\">Follow participants in the Vasaloppet app &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The Elite \u2013 who will win in 2025?<\/strong><br>In 2024, Jenny Rissveds and her Danish boyfriend Simon Andreassen won the women\u2019s and men\u2019s classes, but neither will be on the start line this year. Nonetheless, the elite fields are incredibly strong and interesting.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Women<\/em><br>When the women\u2019s elite start at 08:00, several cyclists who have recently secured top spots in Cykelvasan will be on the starting line, including former winners Amanda Bohlin (2023), Elisabeth Sveum (2019), and Hildegunn Gjertrud Hovdenak (2014 and 2018). Last year\u2019s runner-up Lejla Njemcevic from Bosnia and Herzegovina and third-place finisher Nathalie Eklund are also registered. Clara Lundmark, who finished second in 2023, Nellie Larsson, who finished third in 2022, and Terese Andersson, fourth in 2022, are also on the list. Terese also won this year\u2019s Swedish Championship in marathon (XCM) in July. Moa and Linn Gustafzzon placed sixth and ninth in 2024. Just to name a few\u2026<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">Amanda Bohlin has won all four races she has entered in the 2025 L\u00e5ngloppscupen and she currently leads the overall standings among the elite women.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Men<\/em><br>On the men\u2019s side, Norway, as usual, will field a very competitive group. Kristian Klevg\u00e5rd, who won Cykelvasan in 2021 and 2023, will be joined by \u00d8sten Midtsundstad (second in 2023), Tormod Weydahl (fifth in 2023), Jonas Amundsen, and H\u00e5vard Gjeldnes. In addition, the strong Norwegian team Huntonhardrocx will be present with Vidar Mehl, Eskil Evensen-Lie, Martin R\u00f8ste Omdahl, and Emil Hasund Eid, who have all secured top placements in Cykelvasan. Emil Hasund Eid finished second both in 2018 and 2024.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">Among the Swedish men already registered are Viktor Henrysson (second in 2023), Hugo Forsell (third in 2023 and sixth in 2024), and Matthias &#8220;Mr. Cykelvasan&#8221; Wengelin, who has placed in the top ten no fewer than eleven times! He also won the Swedish Championship this summer. Wengelin currently leads L\u00e5ngloppscupen among the male elite, having reached the podium in all five races so far. A hill prize (5,000 SEK) is awarded to the first woman and man to reach Evertsberg. To receive the sprint and hill prizes, participants must complete the race. Garlands to the winners and placement medals to the top three. Training scholarships to the top ten women and top ten men in the competition class. The 2025 first prize in both the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s classes is 40,000 SEK. The total prize sum is 288,000 SEK. The awards ceremony takes place in the finish area in Mora at 14:00. Ladies who wished could join their own start group in the leisure class.<br>2024: A cycle along the V\u00e4sterdal\u00e4lven river is introduced after the start in S\u00e4len, before the first hill. 200,000 cyclists finish.<br>2025: New start times, and a new route in Risberg makes Cykelvasan 90 and Cykelvasan \u00d6ppet Sp\u00e5r one kilometre shorter (95 km)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Official Police &amp; Firefighter Swedish Championship in MTB Marathon 2024<\/strong><br>In connection with Cykelvasan 90, the Swedish championship for police officers and firefighters will also take place. There are five classes for men and five for women, all starting together in the leisure class start group 7. The awards ceremony will be held at 15:00 at the Vasaloppet finish line.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Vasaloppstrippeln x 3<\/strong><br>Vasaloppstrippeln means completing three different types of Vasaloppet during one and the same calendar year.
