Order your personalized number bib for the 101st Vasaloppet 2025

Hurrah! If you’re registered for the 101st Vasaloppet on Sunday, March 2, 2025, you can now order a unique, personalized bib vest. But don’t wait too long – these personalized number bibs are available in a limited edition of only 2,025. Currently, there are still spots left for Vasaloppet 2025, so if you feel the urge to take on the world’s oldest long distance cross-country ski race this winter, sign up now.

Last year, participants in the 100th Vasaloppet could, for the first time, order a personalized number bib for the race. The offer proved popular, with over 2,000 participants skiing the 90 kilometres between Sälen and Mora wearing a unique bib with both their name and start number on it.

“During the autumn, we’ve received many questions about whether personalized bibs will be available again this winter, so we’re thrilled to present this offer once more,” says Tommy Höglund, Vasaloppet’s Sport Lead.

The personalized bib is the same vest model used by the elite and it features the participant’s first and last name, along with their start number. The number 101 on each personalized bib signifies that it’s for the 101st Vasaloppet in history, and a national flag is included to represent the participant’s country.

“For many, it became a cherished souvenir to take home from Vasaloppet 2024, and this winter’s participants will also have the chance to bring home a unique memento from their race. We still have spots available, so anyone feeling inspired is warmly welcome to register,” says Tommy Höglund.

The personalized bibs are available in a limited edition of 2,025 items, and they can be ordered while supplies last or, at the latest, until November 30, 2024. Orders can be placed through My Pages on vasaloppet.se or when you register for Vasaloppet 2025. The number series will range from 20000 to 22025 and it has no connection to start groups. (Your entry to the correct start group will be controlled via your timing chip.) The price for the personalized bib vest is 499 SEK.

There will also be a few other changes to the number series for Vasaloppet 2025. In Vasaloppet 2024, men and women had two parallel series where the first digit of the start number indicated the participant’s start group (as long as numbers were available), which meant that several participants could end up with the same start number. This year, all participants – except certain elite skiers and veterans – will receive a unique number, but the first digit will still indicate the start group, as long as numbers are available in the series. If not, a higher start number will be assigned.

Women will have yellow number bibs, and men will have white number bibs. Veterans who have completed 30 races or more wear orange number bibs with their names on.

The top 50 women and top 100 men from Vasaloppet 2024 will receive their placement from that race as their start number in Vasaloppet 2025, meaning start numbers 1–50 for women and 1–100 for men. They will also have their name printed on the number bib. The remaining elite women will receive start numbers from 51 and up, and the remaining elite men will receive start numbers from 101.

Other women and men will receive start numbers starting from 1000 for start group 1, from 2000 for group 2, and so on, up to group 10. If the thousand start numbers for a group run out, men will be assigned a start number beginning with 11000, and women with 17000.

Those who choose to purchase a personalized bib with their name will receive a start number from the series 20000–22025.
