Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2023
February 24–March 5
Start Sälen
At the classic start area in Berga by over 15,000 participants start in Vasaloppet every year, on the first Sunday in March. At the start in Sälen, the races Öppet Spår Sunday, Öppet Spår Monday, Stafettvasan and Nattvasan 90 also start. During the winter week, nearly 50,000 people visit the start area.
Adjacent to the start, there is a large meeting place. Here you will find the race office, start number distribution, Vasaloppet’s official waxing service and Stadium’s sports shop.
You can also meet our partners Fitness24Seven, Preem, AXA, DHL and Enervit. If you’re hungry, you can visit Superburger’s food truck, which is on site throughout the week.
Start Oxberg
The ski races Vasaloppet 30, Tjejvasan, Vasaloppet 45, Nattvasan 30 and Nattvasan 45 start at the start in Oxberg. During the winter week almost 15,000 people visit the start area.
Here you will find the race office and start number distribution, Stadium’s last minute shop, and you can also meet our partners Fitness24Seven, DHL, Enervit, Swix, ICA and Ahlsell.
If you are hungry, you can visit IFK Mora’s kiosk, which is on site throughout the week. They offer drinks and simple dishes.
The finish in Mora
All races finishes in the Vasaloppet finish in Mora. The finish area is visited by Vasaloppet skiers, locals, sports holiday celebrants and tourists. During the winter week, we can count close to 120,000 visitors.
The Vasaloppet trade fair and Tingshusparken
Tingshusparken (the courthouse park) is right next to the finish in Mora. Here you can, among other things, enjoy food and entertainment, buy equipment in Stadium’s sports shop, hand in your skis to the waxing service, and visit our exhibitors in the Vasaloppet trade fair. In the Vasaloppet fair, you will also find Vasaloppet’s pop-up shop, where you can buy products specially selected for those who like Vasaloppet, Dalarna and outdoor life.
In Mora, you will also meet our partners FM Mattsson, Madshus, Ormsalva, Enervit, IBM, A Swedish Classic, DHL, Volvo, ICA and Ahlsell. In addition to our partners, there are also Lactigo, Lumonite, Flowlife, Mariestads, Basic Wear and Jönsson souvenirs on site in the area. If you’re hungry, you can visit Matsas Mat, Eva-Lotts kök and others, which serve specialties from their food trucks.
On Kyrkogatan (pedestrian street) you will find Vasaloppet’s start number distribution, and Vasaloppet’s officiella vallaservice ligger på Moragatan – both adjacent to Tingshusparken.
Mora-Nisse square
At Mora-Nisse’s square, the participants receive their medals and replenish their energy after the race. Here, relatives can meet their heroes with congratulations and wreaths, and celebrate their achievement.
Falu Rödfärg has a winning chair, Bama offers food and drink, and DHL has a ski storage where you can store your skis while you go to the shower.
If you are hungry, you can visit IFK Mora’s hot dog kiosk, which is on site throughout the week. They offer drinks and simple dishes.
