Anniversary for Vasaloppet 30, Vasaloppet 45 and Nattvasan 90

During Vasaloppet’s winter week 2026, three races celebrate anniversaries! Both Vasaloppet 30 and Vasaloppet 45 are being held for the 30th time, while the 2026 edition of Nattvasan 90 will be the 10th in the series. Let’s celebrate!

f you fancy a bit of extra pomp and ceremony on the trail, we recommend joining us for one of our three anniversary races this winter! And if you’re already registered, you can look forward to extra festivities as a little bonus. “Vasaloppet’s kranskulla and kransmas will be present to brighten the experience during the races, and after the finish line we’ll hand out a number of golden tickets that give a free starting place for next year’s race. The diplomas awarded will feature a special anniversary symbol, and in Vasaloppet 30 and Vasaloppet 45 we’ll also hand out nice prizes at the finish approximately once every half hour,” says Camilla Sandy Swarén, press officer at Vasaloppet.

During Vasaloppet 30, race sponsor ICA will have their mascot “Kassen” at the starting area, where porridge will also be served as an extra energy boost before the start.

In both Vasaloppet 30 and Vasaloppet 45, there are also two participants who have completed all races since the start in 1997 and who will be recognized during the day. In Nattvasan 90, there is currently one participant who has completed all races since the start in 2015 and is now also registered to ski their tenth consecutive Nattvasan 90. “Vasaloppet’s winter week is always a celebration for everyone, and this year we have even more reason to celebrate with several races marking anniversaries. At the same time, it’s wonderful to highlight our most loyal participants and recognize them. Welcome to celebrate with us,” says Camilla Sandy Swarén.
