Walk, run or roll to the finish under the historic finish line in Mora. 

Funkisvasan is a running event for people with some form of disability. The start is at the Vasaloppet finish line in Mora and both distances goes along walking and cycling paths surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful waterways and then turns back to central Mora. The finish takes place under the historic portal: In our forefathers’ tracks for future victories!

Welcome to Funkisvasan

Your event starts at the Vasaloppet finish in central Mora. You can pick up your start number in Mora on the same day as the event. You leave your change of clothes and bag at a designated spot at the start where you pick them up again after finishing.

Start group 1, 4 km for motorized electric vehicles without timing starts at 14.00. Start group 2, 4 km for participants who want to walk, run or roll with a wheelchair with or without timing, starts at 14.05. Start group 3, 2 km for participants who walk, run or roll with a wheelchair with or without timing, starts at 14.15. The start corrals open at 13.30.

The courses goes around Moraparken camping area and partly follows Vasaloppet track. Both courses are marked with trail markers. So that everyone can participate at their own pace, we ask that you be considerate and keep the left side of the course clear for faster participants. Water is available at one checkpoint during the event and at the finish after the event. Toilets and medical care are available at the start and in the finish area.

When you glimpse the church tower again, it’s time to gear up for the finish. Remember to savor the moment as you come in under the classic finish portal. After crossing the finish line, you immediately receive your well-earned medal and are offered drinks. You can also pick up a diploma as proof of your achievement. Then simply enjoy and celebrate together with all the other participants. In Funkisvasan there are no showers available after the finish.

All participants must wear a number bib and timing chip.

Start numbers and data chips for Funkisvasan can be collected at the race office in Mora from Friday, August 14, until start.

The start pens open at 13:30.

You can choose from three different start groups:

Start group 1 – motorised without timekeeping
Start at 14:00.
Distance 4 km.

Start group 2 – walk, run or roll with or without timekeeping
Start at 14:05.
Distance 4 km.

Start group 3 – walk, run or roll with or without timekeeping
Start at 14:15.
Distance 2 km.

Physical help from an aide is allowed in all start groups.

Water and Enervit sport drink is available at one checkpoint during the race, and at the finish line after the race. You can see what is served where on the detailed race map.

There are toilets and medical services at the start and in the finish area.

Funkisvasan starts at the Vasaloppet finish in Mora. It goes around the Moraparken campsite and partially follows the Vasaloppet track.

The 4 km course surface consists of approximately 1 km gravel and 3 km asphalt.
The 2 km course surface consists of approximately 0.5 km gravel and 1.5 km asphalt.

The course is marked with orange ribbons, complemented by red arrow signs. The ribbons are placed so that you can always see the next one.

To ensure everyone can participate at their own pace, please be considerate and leave the left side of the course free for faster participants.

Sometimes things don’t go as planned. It’s completely okay not to finish.

If you break off your race, contact medical staff or an official at the finish area. They will help you with taking care of your timing chip and report your withdrawal.

Safety first:
Rescue and medical personnel have the right to remove participants from the course if they deem it necessary.
Your safety always comes before finishing the race.
