Cykelvasan 30

The cycling event for the whole family

Everyone can cycle Vasaloppet! If you have an MTB, bring it – otherwise your regular bike works just as well. Cykelvasan 30 is the event where the whole family can cycle together. 32 km of wonderful cycling on forest roads – via the well-known checkpoints in Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris – before you roll in together under the historic finish line and receive your well-earned medal.

Welcome to Cykelvasan 30

Your cycling event starts in Oxberg. You can pick up your start number in Mora, either in the days before or at the start area before you head off. Once there, you leave your bag with change of clothes at the correct truck – which safely transports your bag to the finish. The first start is at 09.00. After that, starts go in groups of approximately 200 participants every five minutes. Entry to the start groups opens 20 minutes before each start.

The event covers 28.9 km of forest roads/gravel and 3.1 km of asphalt, and you pass three checkpoints. Here you can refuel with drinks and energy, and there’s also bike service where you can get help with simple repairs. Toilets and medical personnel are available at all checkpoints.

There are no cut-off times in Cykelvasan 30, and at the checkpoints in Oxberg and Eldris (but not in Hökberg) there are special corridors to cycle through if you don’t want to stop.

Remember to be considerate on the course: look an extra time before you overtake and listen carefully to other cyclists’ calls like “keep right” and “passing on the left”.

When you arrive in Mora and glimpse the church tower, you know the final stretch is approaching. Then it’s time to gear up for the finish. Remember to savor the moment as you roll in under the historic finish line.

After crossing the finish line, you receive your well-earned medal and are offered drinks and snacks. When you’re ready, cycle down to the showers at Prästholmens IP where your bag is waiting. After showering and washing your bike, you can cycle back to the finish area, pick up your diploma and continue celebrating and mingling with all the other cyclists. Guarded, free bike parking is available at the finish area and at Prästholmen.

Every finish is a victory. We’ll see you on the course!

Along the Vasaloppet course there are three official checkpoints: Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris.

Drink and energy in various forms is served at all checkpoints. Specifics on what is served can be found on the detailed race map. We will help with repairs at all the checkpoints along the track. An invoice for any materials used will be mailed to you after the race. There are toilets and medical services at all checkpoints, as well as at the start and finish.

At all checkpoints (not Hökberg), you can choose a “drive-through-corridor” without stopping for any refreshments.

Sometimes things don’t go as planned. It’s completely okay not to finish.

Contact medical staff or an official at the nearest checkpoint. They will help you with taking care of your timing chip, reporting your withdrawal and arranging transport to the finish in Mora.

Safety first:
Rescue and medical personnel have the right to remove participants from the course if they deem it necessary.
Your safety always comes before finishing the race.

It is mandatory to wear an approved cycling helmet. The helmet must be worn throughout the entire race, as well as when cycling in the start area and between the finish area and the shower facilities.

We recommend mountain bikes.

Due to the risk of injury we do not allow cycling with:

  • earphones, for example with music
  • bottles that are not suited for the bottle holder
  • tow bike, electric bike, unicycle, child seat or bike trailer.

Tandem bikes and bikes with drop handlebars are allowed.
