    Three months left until Vasaloppet's Summer Week – premiere for the new finish area and two new running races

    The wait is over! It's been three years but this August it's finally time to welcome cyclists and runners back to the Vasaloppet Arena and Vasaloppet's Summer Week. Now there are only three months until the first Summer Week participants start in Sälen and finish their races under the new finish line portal in Mora. We may expect a proper party atmosphere with live bands, food trucks, trade fair and "after bike" and "after run" in Tingshusparken in Mora. Celebrations of Vasaloppet's 100th year continue!

    Participants give Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2022 very high ratings

    After each event in the Vasaloppet Arena, Upplevelseinstitutet, an independent experience analysis company, conducts a comprehensive participant survey for Vasaloppet. This year, Vasaloppet's Winter Week could finally be held more or less like a normal year again, which participants described with words like "wonderful" and "long-awaited". Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2022 consistently received very strong ratings in the survey. For those who want to participate next year, there are start places still available in, for example, Vasaloppet on March 5, 2023.

    Vasaloppet Arena Premiere for Trailvasan 10 and Trailvasan 30

    These past two years, the Vasaloppet family of running races has expanded with two exciting new additions: Trailvasan 10 and Trailvasan 30. Due to the pandemic, neither race has been held in the Vasaloppet Arena up until now, but it will finally happen this August!

    Three races in one body – are you ready for Vasaloppstrippeln 2022 and/or 2023?

    To complete Vasaloppstrippeln, and to get the coveted t-shirt, you need to ski, cycle and run 90, 45 or 30 kilometres in forefathers' tracks during one and the same year. If you skied one of our races in 2020, in 2021 or this past winter, you can complete Vasaloppstrippeln this summer (a special rule due to the pandemic). If you're setting your sights on next year, you can register for the complete Vasaloppstrippeln 2023. At present there are still places left in the 99th Vasaloppet 2023; welcome!

    Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2022 – interview and summary

    Registration for the 99th Vasaloppet and the other races in Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2023 opens on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 09.00 on vasaloppet.se. Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2022 will go down in history as the return of participants and spectators to the Vasaloppet Arena after the pandemic. But it will also be remembered as a week with sunshine for every single race, except (the night race) Nattvasan! The Vasaloppet organization is looking forward to continuing the anniversary year with Vasaloppet's Summer Week in August, held again on location for the first time since 2019. Here, Vasaloppet's CEO Johan Eriksson will share some thoughts on the past and future.

    Andreas Nygaard and Astrid Öyre Slind won Vasaloppet 2022

    There were two Norwegian victories in Vasaloppet 2022: Andreas Nygaard took his second win, sprinting across the finish line ahead of Emil Persson and Axel Jutterström. It was Norway's tenth straight Vasaloppet victory. In the women's class, Astrid Öyre Slind took her first victory after coming in second twice before. She also set a new track record. Britta Johansson Norgren was second and Emelie Fleten third.
