Vasaloppet Bike Festival Gravel
Welcome to a gravel event that offers the very best of Sälen – sweeping mountain views, winding gravel roads and a wonderful sense of freedom on the bike. The route takes you through varied terrain, where valley cycling and gentle mountain slopes combine into a scenic and enjoyable adventure. A longer climb along the course gives you a clear challenge – demanding enough to feel it, accessible enough for everyone. The event suits both new and experienced gravel cyclists, including those looking to warm up before tackling the longer distances of Cykelvasan. Ride at your own pace, with the mountains as your backdrop. See you in Sälen!

Registration and number bib
Race number collection takes place at the Bike Expo in Lindvallen on the morning before the start, from 70:30–09.00.
Your race number must be clearly visible at the front of your bike. The timing chip is attached around your left ankle.
The course
The course combines valley cycling with riding along mountain slopes, including longer climbs – creating a varied and scenic event on mostly smooth gravel roads and wide forest tracks.
After approximately 15 km, the course enters part of Vasaloppsarenan, where participants ride a short section of the classic start descent.
The course is marked at key points with white signs and red arrows, and marshals are positioned at selected locations.

A feed station is located at approximately the halfway point.
Equipment & traffic rules
An approved cycling helmet is mandatory.
Recommended bike type: gravel or MTB.
Standard road traffic regulations apply wherever other traffic is present. Always follow the instructions of officials.

All participation in our events is at the participant’s own risk. Vasaloppet is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings or property.
Medical personnel are present at the start and finish. The remainder of the course is covered by mobile medical teams. In the event of a serious injury or accident, call 112.
