Waxing service

Vasaloppet’s official ski waxing service in Sälen and Mora is available during the Winter Week. When buying ski wax service in Mora transport of your waxed skis is included to your start location for some races. Transport is in collaboration with DHL. 

Book a waxing appropriate for you and your skiing. Vasaloppet collaborates with Swix who offer the best and most environmental alternative to fluorine wax on the market today.

Book ski waxing

Vasaloppet’s official waxing service can be found in Sälen and in Mora.

At the earliest you can hand in your skis the day before your race. If you are going to ski Öppet Spår Sunday, you hand in your skis on Saturday, February 21. When you hand in your skis, you will be given a time when you can pick them up.

Pre-booking is possible in limited numbers. If your selected choice is no longer bookable, it may still be possible to hand your skis in for service on location in Sälen or Mora, subject to availability.

Booking conditions

• The ticket is only valid for the selected race.
• The ticket is not personal.
• Purchased ticket will not be refunded.
• Addition regarding covid-19:If the events are affected by covid-19 restrictions, government decisions, etc. we retain the right to adjust the course, dates and times for participation and/or other conditions for the events if we deem it necessary to comply with applicable covid-19 rules. Vasaloppet has no obligation to repay registration fees or pay damages as compensation. If the event must be cancelled for reasons attributable to covid-19 you have the right to move your ski wax ticket to next year or to another option as above.

Wax packs

• For packs 1–6 you can include fluorine cleaning
• Packs 4–6 require that your skis have been cleaned ahead of time
• Packs 2, 3, 5 and 6 are recommended for the 45 and 90-kilometre races
• All packs can also be purchased for skin skis

1. Standard wax pack, 845 SEK

2. Advanced wax pack, 1045 SEK
– Cleaning the grip zone and glide areas, including plush on skin skis
– Glide wax: Swix up-to-date fluorine-free powder or glide paraffin with extra durability is applied to glide areas
– Structure for better glide
– Grip wax. The plush on skin skis is prepared to ensure a better grip and glide

3. Racing wax pack, 1495 SEK 
– Cleaning the grip zone and glide areas, including plush on skin skis
– Glide wax step 1: Swix up-to-date fluorine-free glide paraffin with extra durability is applied to glide areas
– Glide wax step 2: Swix up-to-date fluorine-free topping or powder is applied for optimal glide
– Structure for better glide
– Grip wax. The plush on skin skis is prepared to ensure a better grip and glide

4. Standard glide, 645 SEK
– Glide wax: Swix glide spray applied to glide areas

5. Advanced glide, 900 SEK
– Glide wax: Swix up-to-date fluorine-free powder or glide paraffin with extra durability is applied to glide areas

6. Racing glide, 1350 SEK
– Glide wax step 1: Swix up-to-date fluorine-free glide paraffin with extra durability is applied to glide areas

Optional: Fluorine cleaning of skis, 445 SEK
For those who have previously used fluorine waxes and want to ensure that their skis are fluorine-free according to the new guidelines.
