A magical challenge – welcome to Nattvasan

Experience a true Black Friday! Set your sights on Nattvasan on Friday, March 3, 2023. An exercise race focused on adventure. Choose between 30, 45 and 90 km of skiing. Ski alone or in pairs, using classic style or skate. You can participate in Nattvasan 30 from the year you turn 11 and Nattvasan 45 and 90 from the year you turn 17.

Nattvasan was originally a race for two-person teams, meaning that both skiers had to cross the finish line within 20 seconds of each other. This rule still applies in the two-person team class. But it’s now possible to instead participate in Nattvasan as individuals. Of course, there’s nothing to prevent two friends from registering as individuals and starting together, but the faster of the two won’t have to stop and wait for the other to catch up. Everyone can now ski Nattvasan at their own pace!

What’s the appeal of Nattvasan? Here’s what some former participants and spectators have to say:

”A race filled with magic.”
”A journey lined with torches and fires.”
”Nattvasan is a great challenge for those who have already skied Vasaloppet many times and are looking for something new – it’s an extraordinary experience!”
”Skiers get to experience the deep loneliness of the dark woods.”
”Nattvasan has become a proper night party.”

The following six Nattvasan variants exist in 2023:

NATTVASAN 30 >  individual or two-person teams
”An adventure for everyone, young and old.”

NATTVASAN 45 > individual or two-person teams
”An adventure well beyond the ordinary”

NATTVASAN 90 > individual or two-person teams
”History’s greatest adventure.”

Food and rest after the race can be found at Camp Nattvasan, Mora Gymnasium, about a kilometre from the finish, houses Camp Nattvasan. Here Nattvasan participants will be offered showers, accommodation in classrooms and the possibility of buying warm food and breakfast after the race.
