Emma Höglund and Victor Sticko are the 2019 Kranskulla and Kransmas
A biathlete who never thought it would happen and a ski crosser with full focus on rehab training. Kranskulla and Kransmas for 2019 are Emma Höglund of IFK Mora SK and Mora Biathlon, and Victor Sticko of IFK Mora Alpina.
Currently there are over 65,000 participants registered for Vasaloppet’s Winter Week in February/March 2019 and Vasaloppet’s Summer Week in August 2019. The competition managers for Vasaloppet have now appointed Emma Höglund as the 95th Kranskulla and the competition managers for Tjejvasan have appointed Victor Sticko as the 31st Kransmas. Both have been given what’s commonly known as the most honourable assignment among the thousands of functionaries that make Vasaloppet’s events possible.
Emma Höglund has been appointed as Kranskulla 2019 with the following motivation:
”This year’s Kranskulla has Vasaloppet ‘in her blood’; through her family’s strong involvement in Vasaloppet over the years she is very familiar with what the Vasaloppet work entails. With her positive personality, involvement and solid background this year’s Kranskulla meets all the criteria that a modern Kranskulla should have. Emma Höglund is the obvious choice of Kranskulla and she will be an excellent ambassador for Vasaloppet during this coming year.”
Bo Johansson and Annlouise Almqvist, competition managers for Vasaloppet
