English update January 2020
The time has come! We're getting hyped for the Winter Week 2020 and we hope you're doing the same! Here is an update summarizing, in English, some interesting news items from Vasaloppet’s Swedish website. We'll see you soon!
Ernst Billgren has created the Vasaloppet theme for 2020
The annual posters with Vasaloppet motifs are a tradition dating back to 1935. The artwork for 2020, which was created by Ernst Billgren with the title ”Äventyret Vasaloppet” (The Vasaloppet Adventure), will be used on posters and diplomas for both the Vasaloppet Winter and Summer Week 2020.
Registration for Blåbärsloppet 2020 opens on January 20
We still have places left in all races, excluding Vasaloppet, and we can promise a glorious sporting festival during Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2020! Want to try skiing a Vasaloppet Winter Week race but not as far as the other races? Then you should register for Blåbärsloppet, held on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Blåbärsloppet is 9 kilometres long, starting in Eldris and finishing in Mora. Anyone can participate. Registering is completely free and there are free buses to the start. And everyone who finishes gets a medal!
Opening ceremony, trade fair and after ski
A packed programme awaits on and off the ski track during Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2020. There will be a ceremony in Mora Church with TV journalist Jacob Hård giving a speech, after ski with different bands and not least the famous Vasaloppet Trade Fair with exhibitors and activities. Check out the whole programme in Vasaloppet’s own calendar.
