The 100th Vasaloppet 2024 is fully booked
Vasaloppet 2024, the hundred race, is now fully booked with 15 800 participants. In totalt nearly 30,000 participants have already registered for one of the Winter Week 2024 races.
“We have noticed an increased interest, nationally and internationally, in registering both for the historic 100th Vasaloppet and overall for the races in the Winter Week next year, which is very gratifying,” says Johan Eriksson, CEO of Vasaloppet.
Seventeen days after registration opened, Vasaloppet 2024 was fully booked on Wednesday, with 15.800 participants, the maximum. In total, nearly 30.000 people have already registered for a place in the various races during Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2024, where two new events have also been launched: Open Track Monday 30 and Open Track Monday 45, where participants can choose between skate and classic techniques. And apart from Vasaloppet, plenty of starting places are left for all the other races.
“It has been a nice winter at Vasaloppet Arena, where we had a good amount of snow, and the interest in skiing here has been great. Now we are very focused on the 100th Vasaloppet in 2024, while at the same time, we can sum up a very successful edition of this year’s winter week,” says Johan Eriksson.
