Vasaloppet presents a new challenge!
Vasaloppet is now launching Vasaloppstrippeln 45, where the goal is to ski Halvvasan, bike Cykelvasan 45 and walk, run or jog Ultravasan 45. Ever since Vasaloppet introduced the individual running race Ultravasan in 2014 participants have been able to take on the challenge of completing three types of races – skiing, mountain biking and running. It's an achievement that, since 2016, goes under the official name Vasaloppstrippeln. In 2017 there were 121 participants who completed the three 90-kilometre races in forefathers' tracks.
Already there are 95 people registered to complete three different 90 km Vasaloppet races – Vasaloppstrippeln 90 – during the 2018 calendar year. For those who consider 90 km a bit heavy, Vasaloppet is now presenting Vasaloppstrippeln 45 as an alternative challenge for 2018.
Participants register for the three races in the usual way and Vasaloppet will, after Ultravasan, list the names of those who have completed the challenge. In addition to the honour and satisfaction, participants also recieve a special T-shirt commemorating their achievement. The first race is Halvvasan, taking place on Tuesday, February 27. Cykelvasan 45 is on Sunday, August 12 and six days later, on Saturday, August 18, it’s time to walk, run or jog the last race, Ultravasan 45. All three 45-kilometre races start in Oxberg and finish in Mora. Right now we note a particular increase in registrations for Ultravasan 45.

Today there are over 60,000 participants registered for Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2018 and almost 18,000 for Vasaloppet’s Summer Week. There are still start places available except in the three Winter Week races that are fully booked: Stafettvasan, Nattvasan and Vasaloppet.
