Vasaloppet's CEO concludes her service
After four and a half years Eva-Lena Frick has chosen to resign from her position as CEO of Vasaloppet:
"I've had fantastic years here and the pleasure of working with competent, driven colleagues and an enormously strong brand. But for personal reasons I've now chosen to conclude my service."
Eva-Lena Frick started her Vasaloppet employment in January 2016, moving from Borensberg in Motala up to Mora after twelve years as CEO of Vätternrundan. During her four and a half years at Vasaloppet she has, among other things, been part of launching new races like Nattvasan and Vasakvartetten, started several big project and further cemented Vasaloppet’s role as a world class organizer of both elite and exercise races with summer and winter events that attract near 100,000 participants every year.
”We work with fulfilling people’s dreams. That’s my main takeaway from these years. Getting to see participants ski, bike and run across the finish line with tears on their cheeks as they smash their personal goals. And getting to contribute to local and regional development, working with all our fantastic functionaries and the district in general,” says Eva-Lena Frick.
”Eva-Lena has put her heart into Vasaloppet. We have full understanding for her wish to conclude her time as CEO due to personal reasons and the boards want to give a huge thank you for excellent work and engagement. Eva-Lena is part of the Vasaloppet family even after concluding his employment with us,” says Jonas Estéen, chairman of Vasaloppsföreningen Sälen-Mora, and Per Kempe, chairman of Vasaloppet Marknads AB.
Eva-Lena Frick will conclude her employment as CEO in the autumn of 2020. A recruitment process to find a successor to Eva-Lena Frick starts immediately.
