A new record in 2024
Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2024 set a new record with a remarkable increase in international participants. Over 8,400 participants from 65 different countries outside of Sweden took part in the event, making it a truly global event. This number represents a significant diversity and showcases the international appeal of Vasaloppet.
With participants from countries such as Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Estonia, Iceland, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, the UK, USA, and Canada … Vasaloppet has become a meeting point for cross-country skiers from all over the world. It’s not just a sporting challenge but also a celebration of skiing culture that unites people across national borders.
This record highlights Vasaloppet’s status as one of the most prestigious long-distance races in the world and its ability to attract skiers of all skill levels, from professional athletes to enthusiastic amateurs.
