Funkisvasan starts at the Vasaloppet finish in Mora. The four-kilometre course follows footpaths and cycle paths around the Moraparken campsite, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful waterways, before returning to central Mora. About one kilometre follows the Vasaloppet track. The finish is under the classic finish line portal ”In forefathers’ tracks for future victories”.
In Swedish, ”funkis” is short for ”funktionsnedsättning”, meaning functional impairment or disability.
Vasaloppet's Summer Week consists of various bike and running races held during two weekends in August. The races take place in the ninety-kilometre Vasaloppet Arena between Sälen and Mora.
The home edition of Vasaloppet, Hemmavasan, is a complement to Vasaloppet's Summer Week 2024. While the regular races are held on location, from Sälen to Mora, from Friday, August 9, to Saturday, August 17, you can participate in a race at any location around the world – in the digital Vasaloppet Arena.
