Leave the car at home and book a bus ticket; you’ll be doing a favour to yourself and the environment. Vasaloppet invites every participant to buy a bus ticket for their race. If you take the bus you can be sure of getting to the start area in good time.
You can buy tickets for Vasaloppet’s official buses via the buttons below, where you will also find all the departure times. Limited amount of tickets. We recommend you to purchase your ticket early.

Ungdomsvasan and Vasaloppet 10
The buses to Ungdomsvasan on Sunday, February 23, and Vasaloppet 10 on Saturday, March 2, are free and must not be booked.
Booking and advanced purchase
Bus tickets will go on sale at vasaloppet.se in the end of November, 2024.
During the events bus tickets are also sold at the entry to the buses in Mora. The morning transfer to the start in Öppet Spår Sunday and Vasaloppet must be booked before race day; we do not sell any tickets on site on race day morning.
There are a limited number of tickets. Vasaloppet only offers bus transport to participants, not spectators.
Booking conditions
- The ticket is not personal.
- Purchased ticket will not be refunded.
- Addition regarding covid-19:
If the events are affected by covid-19 restrictions, government decisions, etc. we retain the right to adjust the course, dates and times for participation and/or other conditions for the events if we deem it necessary to comply with applicable covid-19 rules. Vasaloppet has no obligation to repay registration fees or pay damages as compensation. If the event must be cancelled for reasons attributable to covid-19 you have the right to move your bus ticket to next year or to another option as above.

Departures
Buses depart from Prostgatan near the finish in Mora, and from OKQ8 in central Sälen. Buses to the Stafettvasan exchange in Mångsbodarna depart from the Vasaloppet start in Sälen. Buses from Mora back to Sälen after the race will make a stop at the Vasaloppet start before continuing to OKQ8 in central Sälen. Tell the bus driver where you want to get off before getting on the bus.
Note that there are two types of departures; buses with fixed times and buses departing continuously between fixed times. Buses depart as they fill up.
Please note that departures in the evening may be slightly delayed.
Travel time
The estimated travel time between Mora and Oxberg is about 1 hour, while the travel time between Mora and Sälen is about 2.5 hours.
