Welcome to Tjejvasan!
Your race day begins in Oxberg. You collect your number bib the day before in Mora, or on location in Oxberg before the start. At the start area, you hand in your bag with a change of clothes at a lorry – which will safely transport your bag to the finish. The competition class starts at 09.00, and recreational class groups start every 15 minutes from 09.15. Entry to the competition start group opens at 08.00, and for the other groups 45 minutes before each respective start. Your time begins when you cross the start line.
Over the 30 kilometres of the Vasaloppet track, you will pass the checkpoints in Hökberg and Eldris, where you can refill with drinks and energy, and get ski wax assistance. Toilets and medical staff are available at both checkpoints.
There are two cut-off times – set times for the last passage at the checkpoints – but you’ll have plenty of time to reach the finish. The basic rule on the track is: Keep to the right, overtake on the left!
When you start to glimpse the church tower in Mora, you’ll know the home stretch is approaching, and you’ll soon experience the magical feeling of crossing the finish line under the historic portal. After finishing, you’ll receive your well-earned medal and be offered drinks and refreshments. You can leave your skis in the ski deposit and take the free bus to the showers at Prästholmens IP, where your bag will be waiting. Afterwards, you can return to the finish area to collect your diploma and skis and enjoy the atmosphere.
Every finish is a victory. See you on the track!

More information about the race
Tjejvasan has two main classes: competition and leisure.
The competition class is divided into senior D21, and junior, D17–20. In the competition class you compete for prize money.
The competition class stretches over the start groups elite, 1 and 2. You need an active FIS-code and/or results from seeding races.
The leisure class starts from start group 3 and up. Seeding results are needed for start group 3 and 4. From start group 5 and up, you can freely choose among all available start times. Changes to your selection can be made on My pages up until race day.
Read more about seeding.
All participants must wear a number bib and timing chip.
These are collected at the race office on Kyrkogatan (the pedestrian street) in Mora prior to the race.
Start kits that are not collected the day before the race will be at the race office at your start location.

For your security there are restrictions at some checkpoints; time limits after which you cannot pass. The checkpoint must be left 10 minutes after the time limit for arrival has expired.
If you arrive too late at a checkpoint you must abort the race. Bus transport to the finish in Mora will then be arranged.
If you reach the checkpoints within the time limits, you will be able to complete the race.
In extreme weather conditions the race directors have the right to change the time limits.
