Registration for Vasaloppet's Summer Week 2023 opens on Saturday, September 24 and there will be several new changes. The three mountain bike races Cykelvasan 30, Cykelvasan 45 and Ungdomscykelvasan will move from Sunday to Friday and the running relay Vasakvartetten will be combined with Vasastafetten.

2 years agoViktor Stenqvist and Anna Hellström won Ultravasan 90 2022
Sweden’s largest ultramarathon race Ultravasan saw a new record number of registered participants in the Vasaloppet Arena this Saturday morning. Victor Stenqvist won Ultravasan 90 with the time of 6,19,07. Anna Hellström won with 7,40,51. In Ultravasan 45 there were also two Swedish winners; Kristofer Låås and Barbro Näsström. The new running race Trailvasan 30 was also held in the Vasaloppet Arena for the first time. Registration for Vasaloppet's Summer Week 2023 opens on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

This weekend, the time will come for runners to enter the Vasaloppet Arena again as the Vasaloppet Summer Week 2022 concludes with a total of six different running races. More than 6,400 runners, both elite and recreational athletes, from 32 countries will participate in the individual races and relays. Many of the individual runners also hope to complete this year's Vasaloppstrippeln. Here are some facts, favourites, statistics and trivia ahead of the races.

2 years agoEmil Lindgren and Sandra Salinger won Cykelvasan 90 2022
Cykelvasan 90 2022 was dramatic. The men's winner Emil Lindgren, Serneke Allebike CK, held the lead on his own for a long time. He was caught up with in Oxberg but broke ahead again after Hökberg and settled the race in a duel on the finishing stretch. Sandra Salinger, Mix Sports Club, was the last to enter the finishing stretch in the women's class, but first to finish. In total, close to 9,000 participants registered for Cykelvasan 90 and the last ones are expected to finish around 20:00 this evening in Mora.

2 years agoAhead of Cykelvasan 2022 – SVT broadcasts live
On Saturday, August 13, the year's most prestigious mountain bike race, Cykelvasan 90, will run, as always, from Sälen to Mora. New for this year, Sveriges Television will broadcast the race live on TV. The elite women start at 07:30 and the elite men at 08:15. The SVT broadcast starts at 07:25. Here are all the conditions for Cykelvasan 2022.

With just under a month and a half left until Ultravasan 90 on August 20, a new registration record has been set this year. In recent days, the race has reached 1,500 registered participants. These are the runners going all the way from Sälen to Mora. "I have always liked challenges and this really feels like one," says former NHL ice hockey pro Daniel Sedin.
